As the last remaining member of my dad’s line of the Bruckart family, and one of only two members of my mother’s branch on the Moyer family, I have inherited a large collection of photos, marriage and baptismal certificates and other original paperwork.  This collection also includes images and documents representing the Wedde and Frymyer families.  I began to wonder what would happen to all of this when I was gone (many of these documents have survived for up to 130 years!)  When I approached the historical societies in the relevant counties (Lancaster County, PA and Schuylkill County, PA) I was met with indifference.  And the Mormon genealogical library was only interested if I was Mormon (I’m not.)  It occurred to me that I could upload many of the pictures to a website of my own for people doing genealogical research and also give the material to Ancestry.com, both of which I’ve done.  As you review the galleries for each family, you will find the images are labeled with significant detail.  This information came through personal recollection, research and at times the luck of having details on the back of the image from a relatives pen/pencil.

From my little experience with genealogy, I find pictures add a real third dimension to otherwise dry lists of names and dates, and my hope is that this material enriches the experience of others researching their families.  On this website, you will also find that there is a contact page with an email submission form.  If you have additional information that you believe would enhance the content, I invite you to forward to me for review.
